CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE I
This non-profit organization shall be known as Cowboy Country
Cat Fanciers, Incorporated.
ARTICLE II
AFFILIATION
This organization shall be affiliated with the Cat Fanciers
Association, Incorporated and no other.
ARTICLE III
The objectives of the organization shall be:
1. To encourage the breeding to standard of both the longhaired
and the shorthaired cats;
2. To hold shows and promote interests in and knowledge of cats
through educational propaganda;
3. To cultivate sentiments of friendship and common interest
among the members, and
4. To advance in every way possible the interests of breeders
and exhibitors and to promote the welfare of all cats.
5. To promote a spirit of cooperation between the club and the
Larimer County Animal Shelter and Community at large and
6. To encourage responsible pet ownership and care of all animals.
ARTICLE IV
MEMBERSHIP
Persons of good character interested in the objectives of the
organization shall be eligible for membership as outlined in
the By-Laws.
ARTICLE V
OFFICERS
The officers shall be a President, Vice President, Secretary
and Treasurer. The officers and three elected members shall
constitute a Board of Directors, of which the President shall
be chairman. Two members of the Board of Directors plus two
Officers shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of board
business. No two members of the same household or family shall
hold simultaneous offices.
ARTICLE VI
DUES
The dues of the club shall be a $15.00 initiation fee and $10
00 per annum, payable on or before the annual meeting.
ARTICLE VII
MEETINGS
Regular meetings shall be held as provided in the By-Laws. The
Annual Meeting shall be held in early Summer, the date being
chosen by the President and Board of Directors.
ARTICLE VIII
AMENDMENTS
This Constitution and the accompanying By-Laws may be amended
by a two-thirds vote of the members present at any regular or
special meeting of the club, provided that the text of the amendment
shall have been sent to each member ten days prior to the meetings
and provided that the text of the amendment shall be sent to
the Central Office of the Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc. Vote
by proxy will be accepted up until the beginning of the said
meeting.
